Jane

I was the third child of four raised by a single mom who was HIV positive. We all had different fathers. I never knew my father. We carried the stigma of of my mother’s disease. We were shunned by neighbors and family alike. Even our mom did not want to see us as she considered us as the cause of her sickness. My mom died in 2017 and my older brother chased us from our home. I worked as a house girl in Nairobi. It was not easy; there were harsh conditions, mistreatment, and lack of pay. It was hard to save for college, but through God’s grace, I became connected to the ministry and I was able begin college. My dream is to become a teacher! I also want to spend my life helping orphans and widows survive and remain clear of sexual abuse. I have greatly benefited from this program. I’ve gone from a nobody to a teaching professional. I have not had to marry just to escape life’s hardships. My shame is gone and I am so grateful to be a child of God! I pray for God’s blessings on this ministry and you who support it.
